Common Name:  English Lavender
Botanical Name : Lavendula angustifolia 'Hidcote'

Famously fragrant shrubby perennial. Makes a dense mound of aromatic gray-green foliage on a semi-drought resistant plant. True lavender is called "Queen of the Herbs" since it matches usefulness with beauty & provides one of the most pleasing of all garden scents. It is a major source of essential oils, being one of the sweetest smelling of the lavenders. Fragrant, deep lavender flowers bloom over an extended period from late spring through summer.
